Rubber on Iron

Medium duty kingpinless casters are superior due to the machined raceway that exerts radial force evenly where there is full contact between the ball bearing and the raceway. This greatly reduces wear on the raceway and eliminates the loosening forces of stress in the swivel section providing a smoother and stronger swiveling action. These raceways are built to last longer with less maintenance required and hold up better in high impact environments. Moldon Rubber Wheels (aka – Rubber on Iron) are a dynamic and durable wheel offering which can be a great fit for many applications. These wheels are designed with a Moldon Rubber tread bonded to a cast iron core which are usually both black in color. These wheels are quiet in operation and absorb shock and vibration well. They help prolong equipment life and protect cargo. One downfall is these wheels can be difficult to push/pull when loaded close to their capacity due to flat-spotting on the wheel tread.
